EYAA Participation Requirements
Approved 10/8/2025
EYAA is a resident-priority, community nonprofit. We welcome Epping residents and students (school/daycare) first. We consider nearby non-residents—especially where a home-town program isn’t available—using a simple waiver process. Crosstown or tournament play may have separate residency rules set by governing bodies.
Eligibility Requirements
1. Resident/School Eligibility
Eligible to register immediately:
- Children who reside in Epping.
- Children who attend school or daycare in Epping.
- Children with a parent/guardian that resides in Epping.
- Children who have been long-term EYAA participants (“grandfathered players”) even if they have since moved out of town, provided they remain in good standing and register each season on time.
2. Waiver Required
Eligible to request participation by waiver:
- Children who reside in a town where they would eventually or currently be eligible to attend Epping Middle/High School.
- Children who reside in a nearby town that does not offer a program for the sport/age group in question and is not absorbed by another town’s program.
Non-Resident Fees
EYAA may charge a non-resident fee in addition to standard registration, consistent with local norms, to help offset field, equipment, and volunteer costs.
Waiver Process
Families must complete the EYAA Waiver Request Form online or send in a copy (PDF here).
Requests must be submitted before registration closes. Late requests will not be considered.
Waivers are reviewed by the Sport Commissioner, EYAA President, and one additional Board member.
In crosstown-based sports (e.g., Lamprey River, Great Bay), waivers may also require approval by the league board.
Waivers are granted case-by-case and are not guaranteed.
